X RAY TECHNICIAN I AND II - KALIHI, OAHU
This vacancy is with the Department of Health, Tuberculosis Screening and Radiology Section, Radiology Unit.
Salary
: I level - $4,054 to $5,133 per month (SR-14, Step C to I), II level - $4,388 to $5,555 per month (SR-16, Step C to I).
Duties Summary
:
This position is located in the Radiology Unit, Tuberculosis Control Branch of the Department of Health. The function of this unit is to provide chest x-rays for the detection of tuberculosis disease for those individuals found to have tuberculosis infection and for other individuals in accordance with Branch policies and CDC recommendations; and also provides chest x-rays for TB Clinic patients as needed.
Level I:
Involves the independent performance of a wide range of x-ray examinations and procedures in one or more specialized areas in the field of radiology and performs other duties as assigned.
Level II
:
Involves the independent performance of a wide range of x-ray examinations and procedures in one or more specialized areas in the field of radiology. Work is performed within a framework of well established policies and procedures, but judgment is regularly required in the selection of procedures and techniques.

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK
:
The State of Hawaii Requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
License Requirement for both levels
:
Applicants are required to possess a valid license as a Certified Radiographer to practice radiography in the State of Hawaii.
Specialized Experience
:
One (1) year of progressively responsible experience as described below for level II only.
Supervisory Experience
:
For positions that supervise, applicants must possess supervisory aptitude.
