Clinical Psychologist

Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Honolulu, HI is hiring Clinical Psychologists to join our growing team.

At Tripler, you will practice alongside civilian and military health‑care experts in a Level II Trauma facility with 450 beds. Responsibilities
  • Screen and interview patients, conducting bio‑psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge in psychological counseling.
  • Conduct therapy, monitor and approve treatment plans, and document all sessions with professional rigor.
  • Develop orientation procedures for new patients and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.
  • Provide structured case‑staffing information and perform quality‑management duties to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Revise standard operating procedures, develop and execute professional business plans, and conduct program evaluations.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to guide budget priorities, manpower surveys, and brief higher‑command reports.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate professional development activities for clinical psychology staff.
  • Maintain a one‑year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements specified in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Meet mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and submit annual vaccinations.
Qualifications

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens.

Basic Requirement: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

Specialized

Experience:

One year of GS‑12 level experience, including: developing mental health treatment plans; administering psychological tests or assessments to interpret patient diagnoses; and managing data to produce comprehensive medical reports and standard operating procedures.

License: Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice independently issued by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, a Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
