Hale Na‘au Pono’s Children’s Services Program provides community-based behavioral health services for youth experiencing serious emotional and behavioral challenges. Position SummaryThe Therapist provides mobile, community-based therapy and skills training to youth and families through the Intensive In-Home (IIH) and Intensive Independent Living Skills (IILS) programs. Services are delivered in homes, schools, and community settings as part of a multidisciplinary team. The therapist works closely with youth, families, and care coordinators to develop and implement treatment plans that support stability, skill development, and long‑term success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and family therapy using strengths-based and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized mental health treatment plans.
- Deliver services in home, school, and community settings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and wraparound service planning.
- Supervise and guide paraprofessional staff implementing treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and on‑call support as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and case records.
- Collaborate with community partners and service providers to coordinate care.
- Support families with behavior management strategies and skill development.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of supervised clinical experience working with youth or families.
- Demonstrated interest in working with children experiencing serious emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to complete background checks and drug screening per organizational policy.
- Compliance with agency health and safety requirements.
