A well-established specialty compounding pharmacy in Maui, Hawaii is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys providing personalized patient care while working with customized medications, sterile and non-sterile compounding, wellness therapies, and both human and veterinary prescriptions. Candidates with leadership experience may also be considered for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role.
Responsibilities- Verify and accurately dispense prescription medications.
- Counsel patients on medications, supplements, and treatment plans.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, veterinarians, and other healthcare providers.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy staff (PIC candidates).
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active, unrestricted Hawaii Pharmacist License (required before interview).
- Strong patient counseling and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Maui.
- Community or hospital pharmacy experience.
- Sterile or non-sterile compounding experience.
- USP and USP knowledge.
- Functional or Integrative Medicine experience.
- Nutraceuticals, supplements, or wellness medicine experience.
- Infusion, nuclear pharmacy, or complex compounding experience.
- Experience with Prime Rx is a plus.
Candidates with strong community or hospital pharmacy experience who are interested in learning sterile compounding are encouraged to apply.
Schedule- Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (rotating/some Saturdays required)
