The Culture and Outdoor Adventures Manager oversees the daily operations of UTV and Jeep tours in Lana’i, focusing on providing safe, informative, and culturally enriching experiences for guests. The manager is responsible for leading and developing the tour guide team, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high guest satisfaction.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, train, and develop a team of cultural tour guides (for both Jeep and UTV tours) to ensure they are well-versed in Lanai's history, culture, and environment, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Comply with all Four Seasons standards, philosophies and requirements. Cultural Interpretation:
Deep knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian culture and Lanai are preferred to ensure the cultural tours accurately reflect and share the rich heritage of the island with guests.  Guest Interaction and Satisfaction:
Actively engage with guests, respond to inquiries, resolve problems and complaints, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction throughout the tour experience. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship)
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts

Experience:

Previous management experience in tourism, outdoor activities, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge:
Solid understanding of Lanai's cultural and environmental aspects, and outdoor activities related to Jeep and UTV tours.

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to engage effectively with guests and team members.

Skills:

Ability to assess risks, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions.

Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and handle unexpected situations with professionalism and flexibility.

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in using Book4

Time (tour management system) and basic computer applications like word processing and spreadsheets.
