Position Overview

Our hiring leaders for Catering, Conference & Events Teams who have shown themselves to be the very best in their fields, energizing staff on the daily and leading by example, collaborating on each new project to inspire and assist in executing events that leave our guests feeling in awe of their surroundings. We’re currently searching for a seasoned and imaginative Director of Catering and Conference Services.

A passionate people person who can drive topline revenue, manage guest and team requests, conduct BEO meetings, partner with other leaders to ensure departmental success, develop departmental goals, and execute everything in between to ensure that maximum potential is met for our hotel.

About You...

Organizes all details related to group bookings (conferences, photo shoots, incentive programs, etc.) and social catering events (weddings, fundraisers, day meetings, etc.) from the Sales Turnover Phase through the Post-Event Phase. This includes but is not limited to collaborating closely with clients and operations to manage room blocks and rooming lists, conducting pre-event menu tastings, detailing, and upselling food and beverage requirements and clearly communicating the group’s needs through Banquet Event Orders, Resumes and other work orders, as necessary.

Works closely with Catering Sales, Group Sales, Revenue Management, Banquet Services, Culinary, Finance and all Operational departments of the hotel. This position leads by example and requires the ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once, hold others accountable and provide concise written and verbal communication.

REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director of Conference/Catering Services or Senior Manager in a large-scale resort/hotel with similar responsibilities/experience.
• Prior experience in a CSM role in a five-star or similarly rated Luxury Hotel.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends depending on group needs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both guests and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to support and collaborate across departments to ensure a smooth operation.
