Learning & Development Specialist

Four Seasons Resort Hualālai is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist who is passionate about developing people, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and bringing our service culture to life through meaningful training experiences. This role plays an integral part in shaping the employee experience by supporting onboarding, leadership development, service excellence initiatives, and learning programs that empower our people to thrive.

As a member of the People & Culture team, the Learning & Development Specialist partners with leaders across the resort to cultivate talent, strengthen engagement, and support the delivery of exceptional Four Seasons experiences.

• Facilitate the Embark onboarding experience, ensuring every new hire receives a warm welcome and meaningful introduction to the Four Seasons culture, values, and service standards.
• Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to coordinate and deliver core learning programs.
• Support learning administration, tracking, and reporting through the Four Seasons Learning Platform to ensure training compliance and professional development goals are achieved.
• Partner with operational leaders to support the Resort's Routines of Service Excellence initiatives and reinforce the Four Seasons service culture throughout the employee journey.
• Coordinate, communicate, facilitate, and track annual Ethics, Safety, and OSHA training programs.
• Assist with the Certified Departmental Trainer program, including certification training, coaching, observation, and developmental feedback.
• Collaborate with leaders in guest-facing departments to design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that elevate service delivery and operational excellence.
• Support learning initiatives tied to guest satisfaction and quality metrics, including Qualtrics, LQA, Forbes Travel Guide, and other operational benchmarks.
• Contribute to People & Culture initiatives, employee engagement programs, recognition events, and resort-wide celebrations.
• Perform administrative responsibilities including preparing training materials, creating communications, maintaining records, answering inquiries, and supporting department operations according to Four Seasons standards.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the employee experience and support a culture where people feel connected, valued, and inspired.

• Legal work authorization in the United States
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Learning & Development, Training, Human Resources, or a similar role
• Experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury hospitality or other service environments
• Experience with Forbes Service Standards preferred
• Knowledge of AAA Diamond Program preferred
• Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems (60 wpm)
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and 10-key by touch
