Position Summary

The Area Business Manager for Cell Therapy is a first‑line people manager responsible for leading the Cell Therapy account management team, defining the site level CAR T account management strategy, and achieving commercial objectives for launches. The role includes developing access to customers across the CAR T site, executing long‑term strategic plans, and contributing to district growth in a competitive market.

    Cell Therapy Account Managers
  • Field‑based position covering Boston East, Boston West, Syracuse, Rochester, and New Haven–Providence territories
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a positive role model with superior leadership qualities.
  • Recruit, hire, and align resources to deliver the business plan and achieve performance metrics.
  • Develop and coach Cell Therapy Account Managers for professional growth.
  • Drive revenue and referral strategy, motivate oncology/hematology centers to refer patients to CAR T sites.
  • Evaluate staff deployment, conduct performance reviews, and assess competencies.
  • Ensure balanced workloads, control resources, budgets, and expenses.
  • Support account plans, launch strategy, and brand execution with cross‑functional teams.
  • Maintain productive relationships with key accounts and KOLs.
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership on market trends, performance, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies governing cell therapy activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 8+ years of sales, marketing or commercial experience, including 5 years in Hematology or Oncology.
  • Preferred sales and people‑management experience; experience in hospital, academic and community settings.
  • Experience with buy‑and‑bill reimbursement preferred.
  • Key account management strategy in large, complex accounts.
  • Ability to partner with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • High technical expertise and business acumen.
  • Strong analytical, consulting and business‑planning skills.
  • Ability to manage change in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. compliance guidelines.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel up to 60 %.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Must meet the company's Qualified Driver criteria: minimum 21 years, good standing license, acceptable risk level.

Compensation Overview

Field – United States – $197,030 – $238,754 annually (FTE). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may apply.
