Community Liaison Advisor, Hawai'i

For over 100 years, Save the Children has been fighting for the rights of children. The right to a healthy start in life. To have access to education. To be in a safe environment, protected from harm. We work in some of the world's hardest-to-reach places – over 100 countries, including the U.S. No matter what your role is, when you join Save the Children, you're creating positive, irreversible change for children, and the future we all share.

The Role

As the Community Liaison Advisor, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future in Hawai'i. You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the community engagement activities of the Community-based Early Childhood Continuums Initiative in target communities across the state. Working closely with Early Childhood Action Strategy (ECAS) and partner organizations, you will be responsible for strengthening early childhood-focused community partnerships, which could include developing community infrastructure for continuous program improvement, supporting local working groups, mapping early childhood programming, developing results-oriented programmatic blueprints, and building community capacity through advocacy, targeted outreach, training and technical assistance.

As a member of a statewide backbone team, you will provide technical assistance to a team of Community-based Facilitators who will coordinate Early Childhood Continuums in their respective communities. You will build their capacity, as well as that of partner organizations to ensure engagement activities are being implemented with maximum impact.

You will also lead in-state efforts for the potential expansion of programming in Hawai'i by building strategic relationships across the early childhood and education sectors and identifying priority partnership and programmatic opportunities. You will conduct landscape assessments, engage communities and leaders through culturally grounded approaches, and monitor policy developments to inform feasibility and program fit. If expansion is determined, you will also help execute the organization's strategic business plan by informing the funding strategy, partnering on proposals, and positioning the agency for program launch and long-term impact in the state.
