Summary:

The Financial Capabilities Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development, and direct implementation of Ho‘oulu Waiwai’s financial capabilities focused workshops, services, and community outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with the Program Director on program development which includes, but is not limited to, program operation and costs.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the program’s financial capabilities programming, including monitoring of program operation and costs, implementing the program according to contract, scope, and within budget.
  • Serves as financial capabilities program’s primary community outreach point-of-contact.
  • Recruit and enroll program participants.
  • Works with the Program Director to gather and/or develop tools and resources needed for implementation.
  • Provides direct service to program participants, which includes, but is not limited to, workshops and individualized coaching.
  • Leverages support resources and mentoring for participants of financial literacy and wellness programming.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with partner agencies and institutions.
  • Responsible for collecting accurate program data through program forms and inperson communication, for program implementation, evaluation, reporting, and other communications.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Maintains confidential information.
  • Other duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Level 1: AA degree and 2 years of related experience or High School and 6years of related experience.
  • Level 2: BA degree or AA and 6 years of related experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to manage program effectively and efficiently within budget guidelines.
  • Proven skills with staff management and training
  • Excellent planning, organization, coordination skills, ability to motivate people.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills required to prepare clear and concise reports and to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop effective solutions, and resolve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external individuals, groups, organizations, and community agencies.
  • Ability to work independently, be detail oriented and flexible, and be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of the Case worthy database software a plus
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge and experience with working in Native Hawaiian communities
Essential

Job Requirements:
  • Sit for 6-8 hours at a time, kneeling, squatting, standing, and bending.
  • Able to work on a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
