Position: Inpatient Nurse Practitioner (Trauma Informed)
Location: Hale‘iwa

This is not a remote role. Applicants must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.

Position: Inpatient Nurse Practitioner (Trauma-Informed)

Location: Haleiwa, HI

Pay: $135,000 to $140,000/year

Experience
  • 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (required).
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or behavioral health populations strongly preferred.
Education
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Valid DEA license and Controlled Substance Registration in Hawaii.

Type: Full-time;
Direct Hire

Schedule: Flexibility is required to support the needs of the program, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner (Trauma-Informed) to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description
  • Responsible for medical oversight, psychiatric integration, and the development of health and wellness programming across the campus.
  • Operate with high levels of autonomy, clinical judgment, and emotional intelligence.
  • Move seamlessly between medical care, psychiatric collaboration, and restorative, education-based approaches to healing.
  • Handle tasks with clinical independence and sound judgment.
Position Requirements
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Board Certified (ANCC preferred).
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or behavioral health populations strongly preferred.
  • Psychiatric experience highly preferred (PMHNP ideal), but not required.
  • Licensed in the State of Hawai‘i as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner with full prescribing authority.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to engage youth with complex trauma.
  • Valid Hawai‘i driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to take a background clearance, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
