Job Description:

Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Long-Term Care LPN for a traveler assignment.

The RN will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in our Long-Term Care unit, including medication administration, assessments, care planning, documentation, and coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

Candidates should have current Long-Term Care or skilled nursing experience, strong communication and clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
Active Hawaii LPN license Current BLS certification Minimum of one year of recent Long-Term Care or skilled nursing experience

Experience with electronic medical records Ability to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

* **** AGENCIES MUST USE THE HHSC TIMECARDS LOCATED IN THE FACILITY PROFILE AS THIS HOSPITAL GOES BY AN 80 HR IN A 2 WEEK PERIOD TO DETERMINE ACTUAL HOURS/OT ETC. ***
* The orientation days. The first day of training would consist of HR orientation, (fingerprinting, reviewing policies and procedures, , etc.), safety orientation, risk & quality management orientation, in-services/education (Code of conducts, etc.), and I.T. orientation. The second day will be focused on electronic medical record (EMR) training.

The training on day one begins at 10 am with HR (or designee) then safety orientation follows so on and so forth.
