Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Varied shift scheduling of 8-hour shifts:
Days 0730 - 1530, Evenings 1500 - 2330, and Nights 2300 - 0730. The schedule includes weekends and holidays, with overtime rotation potentially required.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Long Term Care facility, located on-site at a hospital. The nurse will perform assessments, administer treatments and medications, notify MD/NP of pertinent patient information, and assist with admitting and discharging patients. The role includes providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, CPAP care, and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with MD/NP regarding patient conditions.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Provide personal care assistance, including ADLs.
• Perform specialized care tasks such as gastrostomy tube and urinary catheter management.
• Employ respiratory treatments and manage wound care effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state of Hawaii is required prior to start date.
• Experience in long-term care or similar healthcare environments preferred.
