About This Role

The Staff Nurse provides nursing care and services to patients and families, directing licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are adaptable and skilled in delivering quality patient care.

• Pay: $51 - $72/hour
• Location: Kula, HI
• Facility: Kula Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Provide nursing care and services to patients and families.
• Delegate nursing care according to legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize nursing process to deliver care.
• Administer medications.
• Teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
• Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.
• Serve as primary nurse/total patient caregiver.
• Act as resource nurse and preceptor.
• Take charge duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience:

• One (1) year experience in area of specialty or completion of a formal course in area of specialty.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse License in Hawaii required at hire.
• Basic Life Support OR CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers required.
