MKR Golf Maintenance Pesticide Applicator
JOB OVERVIEWMust work with the safety of self and those in the vicinity as a top priority. Must know how to read and follow directions on all pesticide and herbicide labels and have knowledge of the plants on the property. Apply appropriate pesticide or herbicide to treat insects and unwanted grasses, plants, shrubs, and trees. Keep spraying and safety equipment in proper working order and perform minor repairs and maintenance when needed.
Responsible for keeping accurate records of areas treated, following up and maintaining acceptable levels of weed control. Maintain a proper inventory of chemicals and notify manager when a refill is needed.
- Read and follow directions on the proper application and handling of pesticides and herbicides.
- Use pesticides to control insects.
- Responsible for the growth and care of ornamental plants, trees and shrubs.
- Apply appropriate pesticide or herbicide to treat insects and unwanted grass, shrubs, plants, etc.
- Maintain safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for the proper use, maintenance, cleaning and care of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a proper inventory of chemicals; notifying manager when a need to order arises.
- Assist in special projects.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Maintain an accurate record of chemicals used and areas treated. Follow up and maintain an acceptable level of weed control.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Plant or remove grass, ground cover, and plants.
- Assist other positions in the department.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May be exposed to fumes from chemicals.
- Must be able to work the shift and days determined by the manager.
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when needed.
- Utility vehicle with sprayer

- Various landscape maintenance hand tools such as lopper, hand saw, rake, shovel, etc.
- Ability to work outdoors in the sun and/or wind for most of the shift.
- Able to climb in and out of vehicle, sit and drive equipment.
- Able to lift, carry, push or pull equipment and chemicals up to and over 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to communicate well verbally or in writing with employees and managers.
- 3 years related work experience.
- Read directions for the use and maintenance of chemicals.
- Math skills to calibrate the chemical mixture.
- Must be able to multi-task.
