Job Description
Assists with monitoring Hulopoe Beach Park grounds. Responsible for the general maintenance and overall cleanliness and appearance of the Beach Park.
Compensation$24.17 per hour (non‑exempt)
Reporting RelationshipReports to:
Hulopo’e Beach Park Manager
- Conduct individual and business affairs in highest ethical and legal fashion.
- Establish and contribute to a supportive, creative, enthusiastic, and cooperative working environment for all.
- Build strong communication links with supervisors, peers, and employees.
- Continuously strive for excellence in the workplace, the Company environment, and as a Company representative.
- Comply with all Company policies and standards.
- Conduct business in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Pūlama Lāna‘i.
- Issue camping permits.
- Ensure that campers have the required permits and are abiding by community and private Beach Park regulations, along with any federal, state, and county laws.
- Patrol camp sites, beach areas, trails, and other areas within the Beach Park via foot and/or other means of transportation.
- Monitor the Beach Park and outlying areas for safety.
- Maintain and ensure general cleanliness of the Beach Park, including all restroom facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience working in a recreational and/or customer service operation, preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Friendly and professional relationship with people.
- Follow established procedures and maintain reliable work attendance.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Think and make effective decisions quickly.
- Create effective working relationships with people.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
- Consistently meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
- Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
- Work for sustained periods of time while maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
- Work in a noisy environment, in dim lights, and hot/cold temperatures.
