Position Details
- Role: Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: Four weekdays. Saturdays 8 am - 12:30 pm

Animal Care and Wellness Center is an ever-growing, two‑doctor small‑animal practice seeking an outstanding, responsible individual to join our team – our ohana – as a full‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on patient care, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and medical support.

- Strong technical ability:
Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and dentistry (appropriate to licensure and experience). - Clinical confidence:
Ability to assist in surgery, perform treatments, and manage hospitalized cases efficiently. - Attention to detail:

Preferred experience:
Current Veterinary Technician license (where applicable) or prior hands‑on experience as a veterinary assistant in a clinical setting.
- Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and treatment procedures.
- Performing technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, radiographs, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and dental cleanings (based on licensure and experience).
- Administering medications and treatments as directed.
- Monitoring hospitalized and post‑operative patients.
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records.
- Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and post‑operative care instructions.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe treatment and surgical area.
- Assisting with inventory and supply management as needed.
