Job DescriptionThe base salary for this position is $27.52 hourly. We are looking for someone to create fun and make lasting memories happen for children ages 5-12 years old. This person will develop and implement children's activities, organize and prepare materials for indoor and outdoor use, and possess the natural ability to be patient, loving and kind. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and share a deep understanding of Hawaii's culture, history and traditions.
This is a casual position.
- This position requires working in various weather conditions outdoors, including ocean and swimming pool activities. Indoor activities are scheduled a few times a week.
- Frequently stand and/or walk, lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh 30 pounds.
- Frequently sitting on child-sized chairs or the floor.
- Perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently twist, bend, squat, kneel, and crawl.
- A genuine + authentic affinity for interacting meaningfully and positively with children + parents.
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of guest information and designated hotel data.
- Work collaboratively to create exceptional children's experiences.
- Ability to plan ahead and use excellent communication skills to collaborate between departments.
- Ability to hike, be active, and play outside games.
- Must be able to pass a full background check.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification required.
