Provides customer service while taking food orders, serving and preparing food in the Food Service department.

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Keeps workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping area.
• Makes sandwiches by request of customers.
• Tracks food inventory, alert cooks and refill food counter if needed.
• Plates meals for customers, with correct portioning.
• Verifies/balances register till at the beginning and end of shift.
• Accepts/Processes payment from customer in the form of cash, credit, debit, ebt, and check.
• Verifies and processes coupons.
• Maintains register accuracy, knows/ carries out proper register procedures.
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager.

• Stand for long periods of time, frequent walking around department from different sections.
• Carry up to 40 pounds, push and pull up to 1000 pounds, frequent motions of arms and hands to prepare food products.
• Use of proper safety procedures.
• Mark down and pull products from floor if needed.
• Able to listen to directions and follow through independently.
• Good communication and observation skills.

• Previous experience working with the public.
• Time management skills.

• Air condition while in store, subject to heat when around hot food and chill temperatures if products need to be retrieved from chill.
• Very fast paced at times.

• Must be 18 years of age to ring register.
