Customer Service Associate (HELE Lualualei | Part‑Time)

$17.15 – $21.15 hourly, with $3.00 shift differential eligibility.

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump.
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system, complying with all cash handling procedures, including other payment types.
• Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender (e.g., coupons, credit card transactions).
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including all safety and environmental policies.
• Responsible for receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Participate in all safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job‑related meetings as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, and basic upkeep of all equipment on site.
• Assist with identifying equipment problems and report as needed.
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work flexible hours, attend job‑related meetings, and other duties as assigned.

• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to perform tasks such as inventory, sales, and gas pump operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow safety procedures (e.g., respond to safety alarms, contact 911).
• Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movements, and finger dexterity needed for restocking, packaging, operating POS, receiving payments, issuing change, operating gas pumps, wiping pumps, and general housekeeping.
• Frequent squatting and kneeling required for replenishing items.
• Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs using a hand truck.
• Frequent lifting of 20 lbs or less from floor to waist, overhead, and a short distance.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a stepladder for stocking, retrieving materials, and placing/removing signs.

Note:

Exposure to gas fumes, solvents, and occasional noise may occur.

Minimum qualifications:

21 years of age or older with legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately.
• Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient telephone communication skills.
• Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
• Ability to perform essential duties and work in the conditions described.
