Security Officer

The Four Seasons Resorts Lāna’i is looking for a Security Officer who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

What You’ll Do

Our Security Officers help manage the day‑to‑day security forces to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees, and hotel property, including buildings and grounds.
  • Enforce hotel and departmental rules, policies, and safety standards.
  • Monitor and patrol the property to identify and address safety, fire, or security hazards; must be able to walk/run stairs while carrying equipment.
  • Respond promptly to all emergencies, including fire alarms, medical calls, and incidents requiring the Emergency Response Team.
  • Provide safety training and promote awareness to reduce incidents and potential losses.
  • Monitor Operations Center systems including phones, CCTV, alarms, key control, and visitor/vendor access.
  • Handle security incidents, guestroom lockouts, safe malfunctions, and key reprogramming requests.
  • Investigate and document incidents; prepare detailed reports, logs, and follow‑ups, including worker’s compensation and liability claims.
  • Act as a liaison with law enforcement, city and federal agencies, and hotel associations.
  • Mediate non‑emergency situations such as disputes, minor injuries, and guest complaints with professionalism.
  • Follow blood borne pathogen protocols when handling contaminated materials.
  • Participate in developing, testing, and implementing the hotel’s fire and emergency plans.
  • Maintain professional appearance and provide courteous, personalized service to guests, staff, and neighbors.
  • Work as part of a 24‑hour rotating Security Team to ensure continuous safety coverage.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and high attention to detail.

What To Bring
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to work well in high‑pressure situations and possess strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills to work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
