Construction Surveillance Technician; CST

The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.

Performance shall include:

• Assesses, identifies, and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
• Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
• Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
• Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties, and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to the site lead.
• Follows and enforces customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Performs miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
• Conducts inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
• Photographs and continuously monitors the construction of secure spaces, documenting all steps to support final accreditation packets.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of experience beyond the 1-2 years listed below.
• 1–2 years related experience.
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
• Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.

Desired

Experience:

• Knowledgeable about Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).

Security Clearance:

• Must have a Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

Salary Range:

The likely salary range for this position is $80,580 - $109,020. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements, and could fall outside this range.
