Job Title

Access Control Specialist (ACS) – SOC National Intelligence Division Team

Location and Employment

On‑site at Kunia/Wahiawa, Hawaii. U.S. or Naturalized citizenship required. Position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control and monitor pedestrian and vehicular access at secure facilities, verifying identity and authorization using badges, CACs, biometrics, and government‑issued credentials in accordance with access control procedures.
  • Conduct Entry/Exit and Enhanced Inspections (EI) to prevent the introduction or removal of prohibited items; operate government screening equipment including X‑ray, walk‑through magnetometers, and handheld metal detectors; and elevate anomalies per protocol.
  • Operate and maintain government access control systems and equipment, including badging terminals, Automated Key Access Machines (KEYPER), asset tracking systems, and credentialing devices; issue keys, maintain inventories, and process access/shutdown requests.
  • Document and report security incidents, access violations, inspection results, and equipment irregularities in accordance with government and company standards; maintain accurate logs, forms, and digital records.
  • Support overall facility security operations by maintaining situational awareness, assisting team members, complying with all training and recertification requirements, and performing additional duties as assigned to ensure secure and efficient access control at controlled facilities.
Required Skills
  • Ability to conduct identity verification and operate credentialing systems (e.g., CAC, government‑issued badges).
  • Competence in operating X‑ray machines, walk‑through metal detectors, and handheld metal detection devices.
  • Knowledge of restricted/prohibited item lists and enhanced screening procedures.
  • Strong situational awareness and ability to identify security anomalies.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and meet government vision/hearing and physical fitness requirements.
  • Professional communication skills to interact with employees, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Ability to de‑escalate conflicts and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Proficiency in following detailed procedures and maintaining accurate logs and inventory controls.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience conducting access control, screening, inspection, or protective security functions in a government, military, or cleared environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph; CI Polygraph acceptable with CCA approval pending Full‑Scope Polygraph, consistent with contract requirements. Must maintain eligibility.
  • Government‑Approved Access Control Specialist Training – includes x‑ray, metal detector, and security modules; annual recertification required.
  • Valid State‑Issued  Driver's License; 18+ years of age.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Visual acuity for inspecting objects, operating machinery, and transcribing documents.
  • Ability to push or pull objects.
  • Ability to balance and maintain equilibrium when walking, climbing, crouching, etc.
  • Manual dexterity for picking, typing, and other fine‑motor tasks.
  • Stooping and bending at the waist.
  • Grasping and applying pressure with hand.
  • Reaching in any direction with arms or legs.
  • Feeling to perceive object size, shape, texture, etc.
  • Lifting objects more than 25 pounds.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles.
