Duties
* provides full program and managerial responsibilities for the organization and its programs, including command wide oversight of civilian and military personnel, military retention, equal opportunity, and equal employment opportunity among others.
* in coordination with the g1, develops, coordinates, and implements command-wide military and civilian programs, plans, and criteria for short and long range program accomplishment.
* reviews and directs the development of policies, directives, correspondence, and materials having command-wide interest for adherence to policy.
* responsible for the efficiency of operation and ensuring that assigned missions and goals are achieved. Requirements conditions of employment
* appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* this position is designated tier 5, critical or non-critical sensitive, high risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance level as a condition of employment.
* this position has a temporary duty (tdy) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
* this is a dod cyber excepted service (ces) personnel system position in the excepted service under 10 usc 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
* appointment to this position is may be subject to a three year probationary period unless has previously completed.
* this position requires the incumbent to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
* this position requires use of civilian and military transportation modes.
* this is a drug testing designated position (tdp) under the department of the army drug-free federal workplace program in accordance with ar 600-85.
* signing of a da form 5019 (condition of employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the department of the army drug-free federal workplace program)
* acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position.
* those individuals not currently occupying a tdp position must successfully complete a pre-appointment drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter. Qualifications cyber excepted service positions are not subject to the two-page resume limit. This position is in the management work category at the senior work level within the ces occupational structure.
