Immediate vacancy with the Department of Accounting & General Services.

Full‑time, non‑union painting work in all interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, equipment, and furniture. May supervise one or more painter helpers or other helpers assisting in the work and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Legal authorization to work:
  Citizen, national, permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Four (4) years of experience in preparing surfaces and applying paint or other coatings by brush, roller, spray gun, and other means; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of painting trade practices and methods, including safety procedures; tools, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the trade.
• Ability to use brushes, rollers, spray guns, prepare stencils, perform freehand lettering, work from rigging and scaffolds, mix and match paints, recognize hazards, estimate time and materials, understand oral and written instructions, and perform heavy lifting, moving, and other manual work typical of the class.
• Valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation; this requirement applies to the immediate vacancy.
