The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for an Overnight Kitchen Mechanic who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. The role supports the reliability and functionality of back‑of‑house systems through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs during overnight operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment (gas, electric, steam, and refrigeration), ensuring safe and efficient operation
- Perform preventive maintenance and component replacements (motors, thermostats, heating elements, control boards) to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime
- Install and commission new equipment, completing electrical, gas, and water connections in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to accurately troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Support broader facility maintenance by assisting with repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, laundry, and guest areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering areas, including managing grease traps and plumbing concerns
- Collaborate with culinary and operational teams to support service needs, while anticipating maintenance requirements and coordinating parts and supplies
- Respond to emergency situations such as power failures or safety incidents in accordance with procedures
- Transport and manage tools, parts, and materials using company vehicles as needed

- Legal work authorization in the United States
- Availability for the hospitality business, which operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, with varying scheduled days and times based on need; holidays and weekends availability required. While the role is predominantly overnight, candidates may also be required to participate in day shifts.
- Hawaii Driver’s License and Drivers Abstract
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
- Relevant industry‑recognized certifications or licenses (e.g., Universal Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, Kitchen, Carpentry, Laundry, Painting)
- Working technical knowledge of general building maintenance
- Preferred 3–5+ years of direct, hands‑on experience servicing commercial kitchen or commercial refrigeration equipment with proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen and hospitality operations
- Hourly Rate: $37.65
