Instrument Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: INSTRUMENT MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Location: Pearl Harbor

Duties
* You will maintain parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels for instrument work.
* You will calibrate and maintain cleanliness of test instruments used in wastewater systems
* You will inspect, test, modify, and calibrate Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) to maintain operational efficiency.
* You will repair mechanical, electronic, physical, and electro-mechanical test devices or instruments used to measure equipment at a wastewater lift station.
* You will use shop mathematics (e.g., algebra, geometry, basic physics) relating to electrical and electronic functions to accomplish initial operational checks and the calibration and final testing of instruments and equipment. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. The Screen-out Element for this position is ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION:
1) Must have experience and knowledge with maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
2) Must have experience with trouble shooting electrical systems.
3) Must posses basic knowledge of electrical systems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
