Location: Kailua Kona
Shift Engineer
Four Seasons Resort Hualālai is seeking a Shift Engineer – Front of House who is technically skilled, service-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, comfort, and quality for our guests.
What You'll Do- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair resort building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest room and public area maintenance requests
- Perform daily inspections and operational checks of treated systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Maintain and repair Building Management Systems (BMS) and related controls
- Complete general maintenance tasks such as relamping, plumbing repairs, and in-room equipment adjustments
- Accurately document work orders, repairs, and inspections using the HotSOS system
- Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership and resort departments to support daily operations
- Participate in the engineering on-call rotation and assist with emergency repairs and major maintenance projects
- Uphold Four Seasons service standards, safety policies, and professional conduct at all times
- Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance systems and facilities operations
- One to four years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or related technical fields (hotel or resort experience preferred)
- Technical school training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Clear communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hourly Rate: $38.01
