Antenna Rigger Helper

Amentum is seeking an Antenna Rigger Helper for a position on Kauai, HI. Under the general direction of a Supervisor or Lead‑person, the helper performs a variety of subprofessional duties related to the operation, maintenance, fabrication and alteration of facilities and equipment in the Antenna Rigger trade field at a semi‑skilled level.

Assist Antenna Riggers with the control and repair of antenna towers and structures, UHF and VHF antennas, radars, microwave systems, wind direction poles and range markers. Coordinate with members on other activities to ensure quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties. Responsible for the care of government equipment, tools, property and materials, and ensure they are properly maintained and safeguarded. Perform specific tasks in accordance with verbal and/or written instructions and observe safety, fire, health and work rules.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Must be able to pass a physical examination, climb and work on elevated structures and antenna towers up to 200 feet in height. Work will be outdoors and may require periodic maintenance at off‑island and remote locations. Work positions requirements include walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, cramped spaces, and activities requiring repeated stooping or frequent climbing. Work may involve extended workdays, confined work areas, field assignments and inclement weather.

Two years of experience in a direct or related work context. Ability to acquire the skill and knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment associated with the trade. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions at a level necessary for satisfactory job performance. Fall protection training.

High school or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a military or recognized trade school or correspondence course is preferred. A minimum of two years apprenticeship or equivalent work experience may be substituted for formal schooling. Ability to obtain appropriate state and government licenses.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a U.S. Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain clearance throughout employment.

$35.76 per hour (actual compensation may vary). This is a good‑faith estimate at the time this posting was issued.
