Position: Visitor Information Program Assistant I

Location: Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole

Salary: $3,266 to $4,139 per month (SR-08, Steps C-I) Level I

• Greet, welcome, and assist traveling public at the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport.
• Provide information of interest to visitors to encourage travel to the Hawaiian islands.
• Perform various clerical duties and other related tasks as assigned.
• Work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Basic
  
  Experience:
  
  Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions, and a high degree of verbal skill. Equivalent to a high school diploma or higher.
• General
  
  Experience:
  
  One (1) year of work experience that demonstrates patience, tact, and an even temper when dealing with others.
• Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Substitutions allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
• Legal Authorization to Work in the United States.
• Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Clearance (pre‑employment fingerprint‑based criminal history record check) as required for unescorted access to secured areas.
