Salary: $3,266 to $4,139 per month (SR-08, Steps C-I) Level I

Shift work:
Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Duties Summary

The Visitor Information Program Assistant I is responsible for greeting, welcoming, and assisting the traveling public at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole, providing information of interest to visitors to encourage travel to the major islands in the Hawaiian chain, and incidentally performing various clerical duties and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Basic Experience
    :
    Applicants must possess experience that demonstrates the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions, and a high degree of verbal skill. This requirement may also be met with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • General Experience
    :
    One (1) year of work experience that demonstrates patience, tact, and an even temper in meeting and dealing with others.
  • Driver's License
    :
    Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
  • Substitutions Allowed
    :
    Relevant substitutions as described in the complete Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.

SIDA Clearance
:
Applicants must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions within the preceding ten years.
