- Translating and/or transcribing complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
- Gisting complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
- TS SCI FSP
- Equivalent of four (4) years’ full‑time experience performing cryptologic language processing in Russian
- For at least two (2) of the four (4) years, translating, transcribing, or gisting shall be the primary duties
- For no more than one (1) year of the required four (4) years, reporting shall be the primary duty
- Two (2) of the four (4) years’ experience must have been completed within four (4) years of resume submission
- One (1) year experience typing on an English keyboard
- Cryptographic experience: target development, network analysis, drafting intel reports, speaker and language identification
- Related language experience: oral translations, non‑crypto audio/graphic translations, document exploitation, formal teaching
- ILR skill level minimum 2 with at least one 3 in listening and reading (documented within 2 years prior to resume submission)
- Ability to translate highly technical foreign language documents and audio files
- Ability to provide gists that result in numerous product reports
- Ability to provide quality control of both written and audio level 3 translations
- Ability to perform complete translation from Russian into idiomatic English
- Ability to extract and recover essential or critical information
- Ability to conduct comprehensive target and SIGINT development using agency‑specific tools and databases
- Working knowledge of target analysis development skills to facilitate and provide recommended courses of action for multiple HUMINT and SIGINT operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and lift up to 25 pounds
Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000. The annualized pay range referenced is a general guideline. Base pay is determined by scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s related work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, internal peer equity, external market competitiveness, and other business considerations.
