Residential Assistant

Mālama Honua Public Charter School, nestled in the vibrant community of Waimānalo, Hawaii, seeks a compassionate and dedicated Residential Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in integrating our educational philosophy, which encompasses Native Hawaiian culture, sustainability, and community involvement, within our residential services. The ideal candidate will advocate for and support the residents, ensuring a safe, supportive, and culturally enriching environment that aligns with our school's values.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and supervision to residents in our educational community housing.
• Collaborate with educational and administrative staff to promote a holistic learning environment.
• Organize and lead cultural and recreational activities that reinforce our school's curriculum and values.
• Assist in the development and implementation of resident service plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment within the housing facilities.
• Manage conflicts and crises, employing de-escalation techniques and promoting a positive residence atmosphere.
• Monitor the well-being of residents and report concerns to relevant school staff.
