Job Description

Luxury and tranquility in an authentic setting await our guests at Fairmont Orchid. As a Yoga Instructor, you will provide professional and personalized yoga experiences that our owners and guests can cherish.

What you will be doing
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all spa‑fitness services, protocols, and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all types of equipment, common areas, and service areas.
  • Bus and stock all service area items including towels, water, ice, beverages, magazines, newspapers, and clean headsets.
  • Maintain smooth operation of all equipment through periodic service checks, lubing, and reporting work orders promptly.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all strength and cardio equipment and their programs as well as the proper use, alignment, safety, and contraindications.
  • Maintain current CPR, First Aid certifications.
  • Maintain professional certifications while continually pursuing greater knowledge through self‑study, in‑services, program development, and other continuing education efforts.
  • Administer health history, questionnaires, fitness‑wellness evaluations as set forth by the Programs Administrator.
  • Lead fitness exercise and yoga sessions, personal yoga/meditation sessions, group yoga/meditation experiences, and in‑service education sessions.
  • Preferably able to instruct the following classes:
    Yoga Flow, Yoga / Meditation, Mat, Yin Yoga, Deep Yoga Stretch, Gentle Yoga, Seaside Yoga, Aqua Aerobics, SUP Yoga Abs & Arms, Core Conditioning, Pilates, Mobility & Stretch, Strength Training, Total Body Sculpt.
  • Appointment setting and scheduling of personal appointments as well as appointments for team members.
  • Safeguard all clients, guests, members, colleagues, and team members throughout each experience while upholding the philosophy of the spa fitness center.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a yoga and/or fitness instructor.
  • Accepted certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable, able to work independently under limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining professional, calm, and courteous at all times.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Luxury resort or wellness experience required, ideally in Hawai'i.
Visa Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
