MD​/BKHelicopter Mechanic; Assistance

Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate. Two years of Rotorcraft maintenance experience is preferred. Experience maintaining MD500s and BK117s is preferred. Must have the ability to work independently in field conditions and collaboratively with peers and customers. Capable of supporting long-term projects such as aircraft rebuilds and equipment maintenance. Able to support utility operations in the field, including firefighting operations and 137 spray jobs.

Job Description

Windward Aviation, Inc. (WAI) is a helicopter services company specializing in utility work since 1990, and is one of the premier helicopter utility companies in Hawaii. WAI is expanding its fleet and operations and is seeking additional maintenance personnel.

WAI is an FAA Part 135, 133, and 137 certified operator. We are accepting resumes for a qualified A&P Mechanic to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for a fleet of MD500D and BK117-850D2 helicopters.

The ideal candidate will work year-round on a 5/2 schedule and be based in Maui, Hawaii. Maintenance workdays are from 8 am to 4 pm. Some unscheduled maintenance may be required, and flexibility is a key asset. Most maintenance is conducted at the primary hangar on Maui, with some fieldwork.
