General

Job Duties for All Store Team Members
  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills
  • Understand and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills
  • Calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders, coordinate with customers, and document tasks.
  • Operate a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
  • Navigate a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Work Conditions – Exposure to
  • Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
  • In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
  • Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
  • Fumes from food odors.
  • Exposure to cornmeal dust.
  • Cramped quarters such as a walk‑in cooler.
  • Hot surfaces and tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
  • Adverse weather conditions during delivery, driving, and couponing.
Work Conditions – Sensing
  • Use talking and hearing over the telephone.
  • Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far and night vision for driving.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle available for delivery.
  • Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing:
    Perform tasks from standing positions on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces, height of work surfaces between 36" and 48".
  • Walking:
    Short distances for short durations; deliver between store, vehicle, and customer location.
  • Sitting:
    Complete paperwork at a desk or table.
  • Lifting:
    Bulk product deliveries twice weekly or more, unloaded with a hand truck; cases up to 50 lb (≈22 kg). Trays stacked up to 72" high.
  • Carrying:
    Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), trays of dough (≈12 lb each) carried as described.
  • Pushing and Pulling:
    Move trays on dollies (24–30" width) requiring up to 7.5 lb of force.
  • Climbing:
    Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders; delivery may involve five or more flights of stairs.
  • Stooping/Bending:
    Forward bending at the waist for 30–45 s at a time, repeated throughout the day.
  • Crouching/Squatting:
    Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching:
    Continuous reaching up, down, and forward; up to 72" to turn oven controls, change sign prices; down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to get toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones.
  • Driving:
    Deliver pizzas within the designated area, making several deliveries per shift.
  • Use of tools:
    Pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
