GeneralJob Duties for All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Understand and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders, coordinate with customers, and document tasks.
- Operate a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Navigate a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings and private homes.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters such as a walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces and tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Adverse weather conditions during delivery, driving, and couponing.
- Use talking and hearing over the telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far and night vision for driving.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle available for delivery.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings.
- Standing:
Perform tasks from standing positions on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces, height of work surfaces between 36" and 48". - Walking:
Short distances for short durations; deliver between store, vehicle, and customer location. - Sitting:
Complete paperwork at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries twice weekly or more, unloaded with a hand truck; cases up to 50 lb (≈22 kg). Trays stacked up to 72" high. - Carrying:
Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), trays of dough (≈12 lb each) carried as described. - Pushing and Pulling:
Move trays on dollies (24–30" width) requiring up to 7.5 lb of force. - Climbing:
Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders; delivery may involve five or more flights of stairs. - Stooping/Bending:
Forward bending at the waist for 30–45 s at a time, repeated throughout the day. - Crouching/Squatting:
Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas. - Reaching:
Continuous reaching up, down, and forward; up to 72" to turn oven controls, change sign prices; down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to get toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones. - Driving:
Deliver pizzas within the designated area, making several deliveries per shift. - Use of tools:
Pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
