Position Purpose
The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
- Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
- Physically capable of long hours driving and handling materials up to 100 lbs. Load/unload with forklifts or manually, work in varied weather and noisy environments, and read job‑related documents in English.
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Operate forklifts or Moffett’s safely, work in varied conditions, and communicate effectively in English. Must be 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat), pass background checks, drug tests, and E‑Verify, and verify via the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
- 1‑2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
Hazmat endorsement, strong vehicle maintenance skills, experience with multi‑drop deliveries, familiarity with fleet management systems, and multilingual abilities are a plus.
Certifications- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
B) with Air Brakes Endorsement - Current DOT Medical Certificate – Required
- Forklift Certification – Preferred
- FMCSA Registration – Required
Manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. Safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support. Requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: $23.51 to $29.90 per hour, with potential overtime, performance‑based bonuses, commissions, car allowance or automobile/fuel program, and travel expense reimbursement.
