Position Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, receiving and issuing maintenance parts, concrete production supplies, direct charge (work orders) of materials and services, inventory control, and maintaining the warehouse. This position also assists in the online creation of maintenance work orders, and general support of operations under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions- Assists in the research of parts requirements for contemplated maintenance work in preparation for requisitioning and sourcing. Advises parts status on pending work.
- Assists in selection of vendors and places orders for authorized purchases.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders in the computerized system, entering transaction details, and processing delivery tags and invoices.
- Negotiates and arranges freight terms in collaboration with maintenance program requirements and department operations.
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, develops and maintains inventory stocking levels consistent with usage and operating volume.
- Performs annual physical verification of inventoried parts.
- Segregates operating supplies from warehouse inventory.
- Tracks replacement tool issues to maintenance tradespeople.
- Expedites back orders.
- Records and logs inventory receipts and issues.
- Organizes maintenance parts inventory. Identifies and stocks received goods in preparation for scheduled work.
- Maintains neat and orderly warehouse and inventory yards, enforcing safety requirements within those areas.
- May direct hourly employees in inventorying and warehousing activities.
- Maintains library of parts books and operating manuals for all equipment, as well as correspondence and purchase order files for immediate reference.
- Maintains fuel service records.
- Maintains Maui vehicle fleet and equipment files and records as required by State and Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
- Coordinates annual safety check inspections for all on road vehicles.
- Maintains distribution and replacement of HFN fuel cards and PINs.
- Verifies all vehicles have necessary & updated paperwork.
- Performs daily parts and mail pickup.
- Provides administrative assistance to the Quarry Supervisor.
