Montessori Preschool Assistant Teacher; Ages 3

The Opportunity. We are conducting a search for a full-time classroom assistant teacher. Working under the direction of the Lead Guide, you will help children fulfill their developmental potential in an authentically prepared, inspiring Montessori environment. Montessori experience is not required, but we welcome educators who have an appreciation for and are open to learning more about the method. We provide training and resources for new staff members.

The hours for this position are 9:45am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday.

• Completion of at least 12 college‑level early childhood education credits
• Enjoy working with young children
• Are warm, joyful, and professional;
• Have valid CPR and first aid certification, or willingness to become CPR and first‑aid‑certified before you begin employment;
• Have negative TB test results within the last 12 months or willingness to take a TB test which show negative results before your first day of employment; and
• Are a US citizen or green card holder.

• Have experience working in high-quality preschools, particularly authentic Montessori preschools
• Speak other languages
• Have interests that you enjoy sharing with children such as music, art, science, gardening, and movement

• Competitive compensation ($20 - $23 per hour to start, depending on qualifications)
