Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technicians to support students within the Hawthorne Unified School District . In this role, you will work directly with students requiring behavioral and academic support, helping them develop the skills needed to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children, education, special education, psychology, or behavioral health.

• Provide one-on-one behavioral support to students in classroom and school settings.
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as directed by educational and behavioral support teams.
• Assist students in developing social, communication, and self-regulation skills.
• Support academic engagement and classroom participation.
• Collect and document behavioral data accurately and consistently.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, and other support staff.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow all district policies and confidentiality requirements.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
• Experience in special education, ABA, behavioral intervention, or mental health support is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Must meet all district and Amergis onboarding requirements.
