During your internship at Reflect Orbital you will be given as much responsibility as our full-time team-members. You work will contribute to directly to the success of our flying constellation.
Ideal candidates for internships will be comfortable facing challenges with no known solution, willing to be hands-on individual contributors, and able to commit to a minimum of 12 weeks in-person at our Hawthorne, CA office. We encourage all motivated and excellent candidates to apply regardless of the specific set of requirements you meet.
Responsibilities- Carry out PCB design from schematic capture through layout, release, and fabrication
- Bring up and debug prototype hardware on the bench
- Support qualification and acceptance campaigns across vibration, thermal, and vacuum environments
- Communicate design intent and analysis/test results clearly and professionally in design reviews and design documentation
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in electrical, computer, aerospace, or related engineering discipline
- 3+ months of engineering experience in internships, research projects, engineering teams, or personal projects
- Experience with an ECAD tool such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or KiCAD
- You've taken a PCB project through a full design cycle
- You've worked on a student engineering team (rocketry, Cube Sat, FSAE, or similar) where you've owned hardware end-to-end
- You are familiar with avionics integration in spacecraft, aircraft, or drones
