Marketing Producer

Department: Marketing

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Hawthorne, California

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 / year

Description

Astrolab is The Lunar Operations Company. We design and build the systems and hardware the lunar economy will come to depend on — rovers, power, and data networks for sustained operations on the Moon. We are focused on the problems that must be solved before the next chapter of human exploration can scale. The Moon does not forgive untested assumptions. The people who work here know that, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

As our Producer, you will lead the hands-on planning and execution of company events, photo shoots, and video productions. You will turn approved strategies and creative concepts into detailed, executable production plans while coordinating the people, schedules, locations, vendors, equipment, hardware, travel, budgets, event materials, and swag requirements needed to deliver them successfully.

You will partner closely with Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, leadership, photographers, videographers, designers, and external vendors. You will not own creative direction, but you must understand it well enough to anticipate production needs, identify risks, and ensure the final execution supports the creative vision.

This role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful, calm under pressure, and equally comfortable creating detailed plans and working hands-on in the field. You will be expected to lead from the front, solve problems in real time, and handle the inevitable last-minute chaos that comes with live events and production work.

What you'll do:

Event Evaluation & Planning
  • Evaluate prospective events, researching audience, industry relevance, costs, logistics, resources, risks, and success metrics to support leadership go/no-go decisions
  • Partner cross-functionally to validate requirements and translate approved events into production plans, timelines, checklists, assignments, contingencies, and run-of-show documents
Event Production & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end event production, including logistics, shipping, travel, setup, live execution, teardown, and closeout
  • Coordinate internal teams, leadership, vendors, venues, contractors, equipment, hardware, freight, and event materials
  • Support booths, displays, signage, branded environments, demonstrations, and event swag logistics
  • Track budgets, purchasing, commitments, and actual spending, escalating potential overages
  • Serve as the primary on-site production lead, resolving issues in real time and coordinating participants and vendors
  • Manage post-event closeout, including vendor invoices, equipment returns, freight, asset storage, results, feedback, and lessons learned
Photo & Video Production
  • Plan and coordinate photo and video shoots from concept through production wrap
  • Partner with creative teams to translate creative direction into production requirements
  • Research and evaluate locations for creative, logistical, technical, safety, scheduling, and budget needs
  • Coordinate permits, insurance, vendors, rentals, travel, catering, talent, equipment, and site access
  • Develop production schedules, call sheets, assignments, and contingency plans, and manage on-site logistics and closeout
Production Operations
  • Develop and improve repeatable production workflows, templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain visibility into schedules, budgets, assignments, decisions, risks, and dependencies across concurrent projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with venues, contractors, production partners, and other vendors
  • Provide timely production updates and escalate risks that could affect execution, schedule, or budget
What you'll bring:

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience producing corporate events, trade shows, experiential marketing programs, photo shoots, video shoots, or similar productions
  • Experience managing vendors, venues, schedules, budgets, travel, equipment, and on-site logistics
  • Experience developing production plans, timelines, checklists, run-of-show documents, call sheets, and contingency plans
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience planning and…
