Senior Finance Manager, GTM (Go-To-Market)

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced finance leader to join our FP&A team as the Senior Manager of Finance for GTM. This role will serve as the financial architect for our Sales, Professional Services, Support, and Global Customer Success organizations. You will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and analysis for these functions, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership.

You will drive financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes while helping shape strategic decisions to optimize business performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Your Impact:

  • Serve as a primary finance lead for the GTM leadership teams, designing solutions that solve technical challenges and influence business initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Develop actionable financial insights that support the organization's objectives and enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Contribute to the long-term vision of the GTM organizations, ensuring financial targets and growth goals are achieved.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process, including sales targets, headcount, expenses, and margin forecasts.
  • Manage quarterly and annual forecasting cycles for GTM, ensuring accurate projections and variance analysis.
  • Support the development of financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, KPIs, and GTM metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to GTM leadership, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with strategy, operations, and other business units to set targets, improve service delivery, resource allocation, and overall efficiency.
  • Support customer profitability analysis by evaluating service margin, services & support offering packages and pricing models.
  • Drive results by maintaining detailed financial records and reporting progress to management regularly.
  • Champion the use of AI tools and advanced analytics to automate legacy processes and enhance the speed of decision-making.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with a proven track record (5+ years) in a Finance Business Partnering role within a high-growth SaaS/technology environment.
  • Independent Operator:
    Demonstrated ability to be self-driven and execute complex projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Domain Expertise:
    Deep understanding of GTM metrics (ARR, Renewal Rates, ACV/TCV, revenue, utilization, project margins) and the SaaS "Land, Expand, and Renew" lifecycle.
  • Leadership:
    Experience managing large-scale financial portfolios and global teams across multiple theaters.
  • Expert-level financial modeling skills and proficiency with enterprise tools such as SAP/SAC, Tableau, and Salesforce.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree (CPA/CFA) preferred.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
