Data Engineer II, Ring Agent Platforms

Ring is seeking a Data Engineer with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills to join our team. This role will work closely with software development engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders across various verticals. You will design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions that help us provide a great customer experience. You will work with a complicated data environment, employ the right architecture to handle data, and support various analytics use cases including business reporting, production data pipelines, machine learning, optimization models, statistical models, and simulations.

This role will utilize GenAI to build reliable, scalable data pipelines that produce data optimized for our customers, who will also be using AI Agent pipelines.

• Build and maintain efficient, scalable, and privacy/security-compliant data pipelines to support business stakeholders.
• Use tools available in native AWS and Amazon internal technologies.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure ingested data meets business user requirements and is well-modeled and organized to promote scalable usage and good data hygiene.
• Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies such as GenAI, building and improving frameworks and processes, and incorporating new patterns and technologies.
• Collect and discuss requirements from business stakeholders across verticals such as Subscriptions, Sales, Reverse Logistics, Finance, Product, etc.
• Build new data ingestions using native AWS services and/or internal Amazon tools.
• Maintain and improve existing data ingestions to meet evolving standards and corporate mandates.
• Build, improve, and maintain frameworks or tools and GenAI agents for internal teams and external stakeholders to manage data.
• Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data hygiene by team members and supporting teams.

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
• Experience with non-relational databases or data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
• Experience working in or building GenAI-enhanced data pipelines.

• Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually (USA, CA, Hawthorne).
• Amazon package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location.
