X seeks a dynamic and driven individual to protect advanced technologies, including rockets, Dragon capsules, and its satellite communications network. The role requires independent and collaborative work in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.
- Conduct in-depth research, evaluation, analysis, integration, and interpretation of information sourced from various open sources.
- Produce high‑quality intelligence products on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence, including data visualisation, briefings and analytic reports.
- Perform enhanced due diligence on companies and people within established tradecraft standards.
- Perform geospatial analysis/movement analysis using internal/external data sources and platforms.
- Utilise data aggregators and OSINT tools to conduct open‑source research, and leverage social media, deep web, dark web and breach data to identify hidden connections.
- Identify emergent risks to the company, its technology, and people and quickly synthesize information to share with stakeholders.
- Communicate findings effectively and accurately to team members, leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate information sharing by fostering relationships and partnering with internal stakeholder groups as well as external local and federal law enforcement.
- Conduct intelligence analysis, threat assessments and investigations (including interviews and data analysis) on persons and groups of interest to determine risk.
- Manage and safeguard sensitive information, including case files and intelligence reports.
- Bachelor's degree and ≥ 4 years of professional experience in intelligence analysis, technical targeting or investigations; or 7 + years of professional experience substitution for a degree.
- ≥ 4 years of all‑source/technical targeting intelligence experience in military, intelligence community, academic or private sector.
- ≥ 4 years using military, intelligence community geospatial analysis tools, standards and datasets.
- ≥ 2 years using SQL, Python and experience in API pulls/integrations.
- Working familiarity with ArcGIS, government platforms and location‑based data.
- Experience with open‑source intelligence gathering tools/techniques for application/web‑based social media platforms, including web scraping, data parsing and metadata extraction.
- Experience with near‑real‑time event‑based geospatial analysis and OSINT collection.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Knowledge of analytic tradecraft standards, source validation, disinformation detection.
- Effective communication and collaboration with security and engineering teams on technical topics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise research reports.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast‑paced, high‑tech setting.
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- High degree of emotional intelligence and maturity.
- Work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical efforts and operations.
- Willingness to travel ad hoc; minimal travel expected.
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one. Candidates with an active clearance will undergo pre‑employment screening including background check and drug/alcohol test, and be subject to random testing during employment.
Pay Range:
Sr. Intelligence Analyst: $120,000‑$160,000
Base salary is adjusted on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for long‑term incentives, discretionary bonuses, stock options and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
