IT Service Desk Engineer Intern

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. We are seeking motivated, creative, and exceptional people to join our world‑class team.

Astrolab is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer Intern to support our day-to-day IT needs. This is a hands‑on, customer‑first role focused on keeping our team productive by resolving issues quickly and delivering great end‑user support.

What you’ll do
  • Own and manage incoming IT support tickets from start to finish
  • Image, configure, and deploy laptops for new and existing employees
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, access, equipment)
  • Track and manage IT assets (inventory, assignments, returns)
  • Set up and support audio/video for meetings and team events
  • Partner with the Cloud Engineering team when issues elevate or overlap
  • Willing to jump into other areas of IT and assist where necessary
  • Willing to learn new products and services
What you’ll bring
  • Education:

    Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related fields
  • Experience:

    At least 3 months of hands‑on experience outside of the classroom, including extracurricular project teams, personal projects, or prior internship/work experience
  • Exposure to Office 365 suite of products
  • Exposure to Windows 11, MacOS, iOS
  • Scripting capabilities a plus
Additional Responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • You must be willing to work nights and weekends if necessary
