The mission of the New Star Family Center is to provide victims of domestic violence and family violence access to comprehensive services from one location. Through community collaboration we offer programs and services designed to empower victims to become survivors and break the cycle of violence.
POSITION SUMMARYThe New Star Family Center Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight for all functions of the Operations Department. This role is responsible for motivating, developing, and managing a dynamic operations team, including agency relations, staff and intern management, and program administration. The Operations Manager will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and effective execution of the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
Additionally, this position will lead the development and ongoing evaluation of organizational capacity, processes, and infrastructure in alignment with New Star Family Center’s values, vision, and mission. This is a full‑time position that reports directly to the Executive Director.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operational functions to ensure efficient, compliant, and survivor‑centered service delivery.
- Supervise and support program staff, interns, and operations‑related personnel.
- Coordinate cross‑program workflows to promote consistency, efficiency, and collaboration.
- Support staff wellness, retention, and a trauma‑informed workplace culture.
- Oversee administrative systems, technology platforms, and databases to ensure functionality, security, and efficiency.
- Support audits, site visits, and monitoring reviews; ensure timely follow-up and corrective actions as needed.
- Support coordination with multidisciplinary partners, including community collaborators.
- Support the Executive Director in advancing strategic priorities and organizational growth.
- Hold in confidence all organization and client‑related information.
- Ability to interact well with diverse persons, organizations, and groups.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field.
- 5 years of non‑profit experience in the domestic violence and victim services field.
- 5 years of management experience in establishing program operations excellence.
- Strong leadership abilities in managing problems and meeting goals.
- Ability to organize and effectively manage multiple priorities, time and resources.
- Strong communication skills and work as part of a team.
- Solid analytical skills and resource management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace & other applications; comfortable using Zoom and other video conferencing tools.
