Inventory Specialist – Multiple Shifts (Starshield)

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing material offload, staging, receipt, stow, storage compliance, picking, packing, sorting, delivery, scrap, and cycle count activities for development projects, engineering teams, and production line side fulfillment.

• Receive, store and issue raw material, parts, details and hardware to support shop operations
• Store parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying part and stored location
• Perform picking function to make up necessary kits of parts, material and hardware as required, ascertaining that all parts are available and accounted for in kit
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures
• Monitor shelf‑life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions
• Issue material against approved paperwork such as affixing verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuing
• Perform cycle counts
• Perform standard housekeeping chores in area
• Support the organization’s metric goals and objectives
• Abide by all procedures, desk instructions and standard operating documents

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of inventory control experience

• 3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse
• Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
• Experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment
• Experience with in the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields

Candidate must be available for one of the following shifts and for overtime, all shifts, and weekend work:
First

Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Monday – Friday)

Candidate must be capable of safely working at heights (up to 500 ft), in confined spaces, using an air purifying respirator, and performing the physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements are:

• Lift / Carry: Up to 50 lbs unassisted for 2 hours or longer per day
• Push / Pull: Up to 75 lbs unassisted for 2 hours or longer per day
• Standing: Up to 10 hours per day
• Sitting: Up to 3 hours per day
• Walking: Up to 6 hours per day
• Climb (ladder / stairs): Up to 1 hour per day
• Kneel / Crouch: Up to 1 hour per day
• Upper body twist: Up to 6 hours per day
• Overhead reach: Up to 1 hour per day
• Ability to work in temperatures over 80°F: up to 1-hour periods
• Ability to work in temperatures below
  -10°F: up to 15-minute periods

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green‑card holder), refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Pay range:

• Inventory Specialist / Level 1: $22.00 – $24.50 per hour
• Inventory Specialist / Level 2: $24.50 – $27.00 per hour
• Inventory Specialist / Level 3: $26.00 – $32.50 per hour
