Solderer Assembler
This role focuses on soldering, electronic and mechanical assembly, and repair of units and module boxes. You will build, assemble, and troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues while closely supporting engineers in a dynamic startup tech environment.
Responsibilities- Perform precise soldering work on harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and electronic components.
- Build and repair units, modules, and boxes according to engineering specifications and production standards.
- Carry out electronic assembly tasks, including component placement, wiring, and connection of assemblies.
- Conduct mechanical assembly of units, including fitting, fastening, and securing parts and hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on units and modules, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
- Support engineers by assisting with mechanical assembly and repair tasks for prototypes and production units.
- Troubleshoot and fix problems with software boxes, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Perform cup soldering and heat shrinking to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
- Follow general production procedures, including loading materials and components into assemblies as needed.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy in all assembly, soldering, and repair work.
- Adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a fluid startup environment, taking on different responsibilities as needed.
- Hands-on experience with soldering on harnesses and PCBs.
- Proficiency in cup soldering techniques for repair and assembly work.
- Experience with electronic assembly, including working with components, wiring, and connectors.
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly of units, modules, and boxes.
- Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and repair hardware issues on electronic and mechanical units.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems with software boxes in collaboration with engineers.
- Comfort working in a startup tech environment with evolving processes and priorities.
- Willingness to wear different hats and take on varied tasks, including supporting engineers with assembly and repair jobs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with heat shrinking for cable and harness protection.
- Experience in general production work, including loading materials and components.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and follow technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Flexibility to operate in a fluid and flexible job environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hawthorne, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
