Overview

Amentum is seeking an Alarm Monitor to join our team in Hawthorne, NV to support the Hawthorne Army Depot.

The Alarm Monitor will receive and respond to all personnel, radio calls, medical emergencies and serious incidents via telecommunication devices, radios, and monitors, including closed-circuit television. They will analyze and prioritize 911 calls and non-emergency calls, activate security or emergency services as needed, and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel, radio calls, medical emergencies, and serious incidents.
  • Maintain constant alertness for security monitoring of CCTV, Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System, and Vision 21 Alarms.
  • Complete training requirements for computer-based programs and wear company-provided dress uniform.
  • Receive, analyze, and prioritize 911 calls and non-emergency calls for DACP Police, Fire, and EMS.
  • Perform Emergency Medical Dispatch when appropriate and give lifesaving instructions over the phone.
  • Utilize a computer-aided dispatch system to prioritize calls, record incident details, and track responder status and location.
  • Distribute calls to Security, DACP Police, Fire and EMS per guidelines.
  • Monitor radio traffic for Security, Range Control, DACP Police, Fire, and EMS.
  • Use the Mass Notification System for all situations requiring mass notification and send emergency alerts to the public.
  • Maintain radio logs, dispatcher logbook, police blotters, reports, and TIL inventory lists documenting area checks and category material in lot.
  • Perform all work safely, complying with environmental permits and regulations, and protecting self and others.
  • Attend scheduled shifts reliably and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Provide verbal and written reports on safety, security, facility, or personnel issues and incidents.
  • Enforce access rosters for restricted areas and key control, monitor vehicle status and trip tickets.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Lead Dispatcher, Shift Supervisor, or Management.
  • Execute all other position-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance and Hawthorne Army Depot site access.
  • Computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain fitness-for-duty standards, including HWAD drills and contingency or emergency requirements.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean MVR check.
  • Ability to pass and maintain the PILB Certification.
  • US citizenship required to obtain clearance and access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and basic computer skills.
  • Prior experience with databases.
Security Clearance & Safety Sensitive Requirements

This position is non-safety sensitive but requires completion of a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and meeting HWAD personnel suitability and reliability requirements. Candidates must pass HWAD A&D Program and Medical Surveillance Plan Matrix.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $24.06 - $29.80. The actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, experience, skills, and collective bargaining agreements.
